How does their personality change ? I think Annabeth becomes more friendly. And Grover somewhat overcomes his fear and learns to stand up for his friends and how friends are important. Percy learns how friends are dear , and sacrificing is not something you should easily do. I'm mostly having trouble with Annabeth though .

For Annabeth, I agree with you, she definitely gets friendlier than she was in the first book. Grover seems more confident in himself.
