You are clearly a little confused.
First of all, depression isn't only caused by something traumatic happening. there are many different causes of depression.
Second, psychopathy and sociopathy are NOT the same thing as depression and if a person is an actual psycho/sociopath, it does not change or fluctuate. Psychopathy is marked by a lack of empathy and ammoral conduct but an ability to appear outwardly normal and assimilate to the environment. It's causes are both genetic and environmental. Saying that somebody fluctuates between being a psychopath and not would be like saying somebody fluctuates between being autistic and not. It isn't a ';mood'; it's a disorder. You can't ';become'; sociopathic because of depression... you could have some sociopathic tendencies, but you can't become an actual sociopath.
If you know somebody who is ';sometimes'; sociopathic or somebody thinks you are ';sometimes'; sociopathic, they/you are wrong. You either are or you aren't. If somebody ';calls someone out'; for being a psychopath, what they probably mean is at THAT moment, that person is acting in a way similar to a psychopath.
And as a final note, the moon doesn't really have anything to do with psychology.... not sure where that is coming from. How can someone be a psychopath if ones personality changes depending on their mood?
You can't become a sociopath, you are born like it.
If the mood swing causes the person to behave irrationally, destructively, self-destructively, or in some other way non-functional in an extreme fashion, that qualifies as mildly psychopathic. Most people's mood changes do NOT cause them to behave irrationally. If they do, that's a dysfunction.
