not the whole trilogy, just the first part, Oedipus Rex.How does Oedipus' personality change from the beginning of Oedipus Rex to the end of Oedipus Rex?
Assuming you have read the play...
At the beginning, Oedipus was self-confident leader but a little arrogant and with a quick temper.
He was slow to take a hint when prompted (Tieresias begged him [Oedipus] to not force himself [Tieresias] to blurt out the terrible truth) and was quick to blame others (Oedipus accused the Messenger, the Sheperd, Tieresias, Creon [his brother] and the Gods!). However, he was good to the people of Thebes and swore to help them.
However, when Oedipus learnt the truth about his past (he had killed his father and ended up marrying his mother), he became a tortured soul.
When the Queen (his wife/mother) commits suicide, Oedipus blinds himself by self-piercing his eyes. He calls upon Creon to banish him [Oedipus] forever from Thebes, and away from his beloved children. Oedipus had basically lost all self-confidence and is a shattered man, calling himself 'cursed'.
I hope this helps.

We are moved to fear and pity at the end of the play not because Oedipus is sinful, but because he's always tried to do the right thing. He goes from arrogance to humility throughout the play.
