take her to a couple of animal shelters and tell her that for ever kitten she brings into this world because of her selfishness at least 2 kittens in the shelters will be euthanized because there aren't enough homes for the kittens we already have in this world. tell her to pick out the kittens that she wants killed because of what she wants to do. every kitten that is bred takes a home away from a shelter kitten who will probably be euthanized. it's so sad people are that selfish.
Try everything you can. anyways they are still too young to be trying to breed, they may die the kittens may die.If i breed my cat will it change her personality at all?
No, it won't change her personality. It might while she is pregnant and afterwards, she may experience post-partum depression just like people do. But she will get over it.
It won't.
i have seen temporary changes, just like in humans. mom my not have time for you while raising the kids. after that she goes back to her normal self.
at least you recognise that it's wrong to breed house pets, as to them changing it will only be temporary, best if you read up on pregnancy in cats.
cause this arrangement will most likely go ahead. sad though that is nobody wants to think about what happens to the products of these litters a year down the track they just think about the fluffy kittens, well kittens grow up and if not looked after by responsible owners will them selves go undesexed and breeders them selves adding to cat overpopulation, where the result is millions of healthy sweet natured cats,kittens,dogs and puppies are put down every year because someone thought it would be sooooooo cute to breed them. by the way 10 months is still a kitten shes to young.
It could. I bred my siamese and she turned nasty. Was mean to everyone. We had to put her in the other room when someone came over.
my queen was about 10 months (it was an accident) when she got pregnant up till then she was timid around strangers and trusted very few people but now she is so loving. i had to hand raise her kittens due to the fact that she developed necrotic mastitis (she had dead skin around her nipples) at first it was thought she had cancer. i strongly suggest you talk to mum about the cats actually not needing to be bred it is actually far better for them not to have kittens because it easier to fix them now than after they have had kittens. i hope this helps.
Tell them that you'll be okay with them breeding on one condition..
Tell them that after the cats have the kittens, and the kittens are given away, then your mom has to go to the animal shelter and look the cats in the eyes and talk to them, at least however many your cats had) She has to tell them, ';I'm sorry you're going to be gassed next week..(or maybe today)..see, the person who might have adopted you adopted my kitten instead.';
Tell them that if they BOTH are willing to do that, you'll be alright with her breeding the cats..
There are breeder's associations and so forth that you can report that breeder to.. These associations do NOT condone that type of irresponsible breeding..
Do you have access to money and a car? (or friends that would help you out?) In all honesty, I'd be tempted to go get them fixed on the sly.. Nothing your mom would be able to do about it rather than be mad at you!!
